Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon Meets with Mexican Party Leaders

Ricardo Alarcon, President of Cuban ParliamentA delegation from Mexico’s Democratic Revolution Party (PRD) visited the island and was received by Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon.

Invited by the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, the group was headed by Jesus Ortega and Hortensia Aragon, PRD president and general secretary, respectively, the Granma newspaper reports.

Also participating in the meeting were the head of the Department for International
Relations of the Cuban Communist Party (CCP), Jorge Marti, and other leaders.

The international situation and the good relations existing between the PRD and the CCP were analyzed during the talks, and the support for the strengthening of bilateral relations between Cuba and Mexico was also tackled.

The Cuban party expressed its appreciation for the solidarity of the PRD with the
Revolution.
