The leader of the Venezuelan Revolution said that from Mexico to Argentina, Latin American countries will come together and defend Venezuela, which "is not alone."
Hugo Chávez said that the government of Colombia is serving the interests of imperialism, referring to the recent accord to provide the United States with seven military bases in that country. "Colombia has sold itself to the United States; not the people, but the government and the oligarchy that used to be disguised, now has taken off that mask."
During Sunday's radio and TV program, Chávez mentioned that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will soon visit Venezuela to boost the consolidation of relations between both countries.
"Imperialism and its lackeys have both Iran and Venezuela in their sights, but they can't take us down." And the Venezuelan president pointed out that Iran has Israel doing Washington's dirty work, while Venezuela has Colombia taking orders from U.S. imperialism.
