The Spanish vessel Sierra de Aranzazu carrying merchandise toward Cuba was attacked by pirate motorboats. The aggression took place at 75 miles near the northern coast of Maisí, in Guantánamo. In the terrorist died two crew members and the captain of the Spanish vessel, named Pedro Ibargurengoitía.

During a clash between Cuban revolutionary militia men and a group of infiltrated terrorists elements led by Gaspar Martínez Quiroga "El Jabao", Wilber Galano Reyes and Abel Díaz Delgado were murdered. On the other hand, Fidencio González Peraza, Miguel Matos Toranzo and Alfredo Castañeda were injured as well. These terrorists entered the Cuban territory through Cayo Los Chinos, Baracoa, in Guantanamo.

These individuals infiltrated into the Cuban territory through Macambo beach, in San Antonio del Sur, Guantánamo. Other five Cuban frontier brigade soldiers were injured too.

Cuban Lt. Ramón Guerra Montano and some militia men, José Sánchez Marzo, Ovidio Hernández Matos and Evedino Marzo Marzo died in a military clash against a terrorist group belonging to Alpha 66- a counterrevolutionary organization based in Florida, the United States. The confrontation took place in Punta del Silencio, near Yumurí, 22 kilometers away from Baracoa city. On April 19, 1969 Cuban President Fidel Castro gave a speech in La Máquina, Maisí municipality, in a tribute paid to the fallen Cuban soldiers.

Gabriel Lamouth Caballero, a combatant belonging to the National Revolutionary Police was murdered by counterrevolutionary elements who tried to leave the country illegaly through the Havana harbour.
July 8, 1996
It was undertaken in Santiago from Cuba the airplane they GO-2, registration CUT-1183, by a counterrevolutionary element, which threatening al pilot and to the passengers with a gun abducted it and conducted it to the illegal naval base of Guantánamo. The airplane, with its passengers, returned to Cuba. The terrorist took refuge in the naval base and subsequently he was acquitted in the judgment that him he was celebrated for this fact in the United States.
